THREAD VEIN REMOVAL

Thread Vein Removal

Thread veins can be found in men and women and can be found all over the body although they are most common on the face and legs. These veins can look unsightly and are commonly removed using laser technology to effectively remove them.

How It Works

The laser light thats emitted is attracted to the target blood in your vessels which causes a heat reaction which coagulates the blood and destroys the protein in the wall of the vein. The vein then breaks down and the debris is removed by the bodys natural waste system.

During Treatment

During the consultation the treatment will be fully explained, and any questions you have will be answered. A patch test will be taken and this will be a good indication whether the treatment is suitable for you. After 48 hours you can return for your first treatment. A pair of goggles will be provided and a layer of optical cooling gel will be applied to your skin. This gel adds an extra layer of protection to prevent any burning ensuring a risk free treatment.

The laser is applied to your skin several times until a sufficient amount of redness appears, this is to show that the treatment it working and should disappear within 1-2 hours or in some cases a few days. Slight puffiness around the treated area is also normal along with slight puffiness around the eyes for around 4 days. The veins will appear to go darker and more visable before they start to disappear. These are all signs of inflammation and are an indication of a successful treatment.

After Care

Aloe vera is applied to the skin after the treatment and if excessive redness is visible a cold compress can be applied. After your treatment you will be provided with a pot of aloe vera gel to use at home to reduce and continuing redness.

How many sessions are needed?

on average 2-4 treatments are needed for best results each with 4 week intervals. Top up sessions in the future may be needed to maintain results.

Does it hurt

The sensation varies upon client to client and from area to area. The sensation that is felt depends upon the amount and size of the vessels in the area. although mild sunburn is described by most clients. A sharp pain during the treatment that has been described as the flicking of a rubber band and tingling afterwards is normal.
